I have gotten admission into the following universities:
1.JOHN HOPKINS-84,000$
2.TULANE-23,000$
3.GEORGE WASHINGTON-43,000$
4.UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT-55,000$

UNDER THE MASTER’S IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY PROGRAM.

NOW THE TUITION FEE FOR HOPKIN’S IS COMING OUT TO BE TOOOOO MUCH SHOULD I STILL CHOOSE IT OVER 1 YEAR MASTER’S IN TULANE.
I AM PLANNING TO DO A PHD EVENTUALLY AFTER MY MASTER’S.

WOULD IT BECOME EASIER TO GET INTO A VERY GOOD COLLEGE LIKE HARVARD’S IF I GET INTO HOPKIN’S NOW BY SPENDING ALMOST 45 LAKHS???

KINDLY GUIDE ME!!

Here are my 2 cents:

One year masters @ Tulane doesn’t sound all that great. To get into a PhD program at any top school you have to show an aptitude for research and with a one year masters program you will be busy with coursework. Masters programs with thesis option usually take more than a year to complete.

thanks tipusultan for the reply…
but i was thinking if i get a 5 year visa i can work in some research lab for an extra year like 3 years and then i can go for my phd .IN this way i would get a master’s also and 3 years of research experience when i can get something published which shall just increase my chances of getting a phd .

'coz i ve heard work experience really counts in USA .and with a two year master’s i shall get i year less of experience and loads of more mullah shall go into it above all ,for which i don’t think researcher’s get much returns .
