If you had the money, you should drive by, dstark. I am sure there is a reserve, but I have seen homes exchange hand with lower than reserve prices.
Since it is empty home, the listing broker should be able to show the place to you, try to talk to him. I can show it to you, if there is a supera lock box.
jym, you think too much. We regularly buy homes at auction with only the outside view. It was a treat to see so many pics for that Tibron home.

It is going over $2 million. I used to live in Tiburon. There is too much money in Tiburon for that house to sell for $2 million. There are billionaires in Tiburon.
I like view a lot, but that is not the prime view.
Actually, the billionaires won’t want that house.

I don’t know what was results of the previous two auctions, but apparently it did not meet the bank’s expectation.

I was at a client’s home in Tibron, his house is more than 2 million, there is NO VIEW of the ocean.
Yes, I post this two months ago, its not sold.
Maybe the owner of the Tiburon house decided to wait until now because the market’s going up. Or maybe a deal fell through. But that house will have buyers.

The bank expectation was higher than $2 million. That would be my guess.
$2 million would be a steal. There aren’t that many steals in Marin. There is too much money chasing to few deals here.
Even during the financial crisis, the Tiburon deals were at a minimum.
Zillow has the foreclosure estimate at $3.9 million.
Do we know that the sellers two months ago and the sellers today are the same sellers?
