So, I was in the spur of the moment and wanted to switch out of AP Lit because I was scared of how rigorous it was and fear I couldn’t get an A (grade obsessive). But once I got into my Honors English class I did not feel like I belonged at all, I felt so disappointed in myself and my capabilities. The class felt like a joke and so were the people. But this will probably frustrate my counselor, especially cause it’s stated that “All decisions are FINAL”.
But what can I say? My guidance counselor is sort of intimidating to speak to so I’m not sure how to explain why I made impulsive decisions and keep switching back and forth. What do I say?
You might want to start by talking to the AP Lit teacher. If you get her/his support, maybe even a note (or an email to the GC), that might make it easier.
