How can my GPA be a 3.52?!

Here are my classes

Freshman
-PE : A
-Health : A
-English(Honors) : A+
-World History(Honors) : A-
-Env. Science(Honors) : A-
-Engineering(Honors) : B+
-Geometry(Honors) : A
-Spanish 2(Honors) : A-
-Band : A

Sophomore
-PE : A+
-English(Honors) : A
-World History(AP) : B+
-Biology(AP) : A-
-Algebra II(Honors) : A
-Spanish 3(Honors) : A-
-Band : A+

Is it because of my non-core classes like band, PE, etc., which are counted as non-Honors? Will colleges recalculate with their own GPA system?

There is cumulative or overall GPA which includes PE and Health and can be reported unweighted and weighted (includes Honors courses) and academic GPA which includes only core courses unweighted and weighted. Colleges are interested in your academic GPA and will recalculate based on their standards.

@Gumbymom Ok, thanks for clarifying. What would you estimate my academic GPA to be/is there any to calculate academic GPA?

Your uw gpa would go down when non academic courses are taken out

Colleges do it differently, but as an example: U of Mich

4.0= any A, A+ or -
3.0= any B, B+ or -

8 core As
2 core Bs

3.8 uw
