I’m somewhat competitive. I just want a higher rank I suppose, but I don’t like wishing ill will on others. As for grades themselves, I only care about how well I do personally.

EC’s, I like to be competitive at competitions, but not when comparing activities.

I definitely try to help others a lot more than I care about my grades, which isn’t good sometimes, haha.

haha, I’m extremely not competitive (in most cases). in fact, you definitely do not want me on your team if you’re serious about any kind of competition that I personally do not care about.

Being competitive with yourself is perfectly okay, if there is ever such a thing as being competitive with oneself, but being over competitive with other people can be kind of unhealthy. in addition to that, you’ll never be perfectly happy if your definition of joy is to always be better than the other person.

I secretly compete with myself. On the outside, I have this whatever attitude, but I do get stressed out sometimes from the pressure I put on myself :/

Competition just spurs on comparison which leads to unhappiness, animosity, and hatred toward everyone who’s better than you.

As long as I’m satisfied with myself, I do not care how much higher the person sitting next to me’s GPA is.

I’m very, very uncompetitive. I could care less about the grades that others receive; I don’t like to know how my peers do in their classes, on their standardized tests, or in their extracurricular activities. I’m focused on doing what I do, and no more.

I don’t compete with other people really, just myself. I put a TON of stress on myself to keep doing better. I don’t actually know anyone’s grades or scores except for my own. I’m only really concerned with myself in that area.

Edit: Actually, I do know my best friend’s PSAT scores. We got the exact same thing, haha. But that’s it.

I agree with you guys but on a side note, how competitive are the kids in your schools? because I try to just focus on my own grades and accomplishments but it’s hard when there’s so much emphasis on academic achievement.

“So what, you think you’re more compoetitive than me?”

i’m pretty competitive when i have someone better than me in my class, i do EVERYTHING to be better than him/her.
when i’m at the top of my class, though, i tend to slack off. always wonder why.

I’m usually indifferent/apathetic about most [school-related] things, so in that sense, I’m not that competitive.

competitive enough to let people know I’m not a person to mess about.

not competitive enough to not help people. not competitive enough to be regarded as ‘parallel 1’ (cuz people already know I rank first, so why bother?) :P

Competitive enough so that I do well in school.
I help people out, too, though.

I’m not competitive. I’m collaborative.

Regarding other people’s competitiveness in my school. God damn, my class is so competitive. All they talk about is who is number 1. Then they all come ask me for help on math, chemistry, english, biology, physics, government, computer science.

No one at my school is. Only in extracurriculars. We have some of the stupidest clubs ever, just so people can put it on their college apps. >.>

Yes, bu I always help people when asked… Also we have no class rank so its pointless to be competetive

I gotta admit, I am pritty darn competitive. I constantly try to focus on “competing only with myself.” However, I always end up trying to “beat” my classmates for grades and schools. Don’t get me wrong, I always help people when given the chance. At times though, when others achieve certain successes (like getting into a certain HYPS school that turned me down), I feel sorta attacked or sad. I’m working on it though.

not really that much

although on this website, i probably come off as very competitive… in real life i’m really not
also i don’t think that my (moderately prestigious) school even ranks anyway

@emorylegacy my school is the same way. some club meetings only last for 10 to 15 mins but you get to put It on your application, which is pretty maningless if you ask me.
