How do I improve my SSAT scores??

I recently took the SSAT last April and received my scores today.
My Quantitative percentile was 81%, Verbal 54% and Reading 21%

It was my first time I ever took the test, and I am planning to take another test in June and in the fall.
(I am a seventh grader now, but I took the test as an eighth grader so I could get practice)

Is there any way I can improve my scores by June?
Please recommend any workbooks or study tools, thanks!

Isn’t the SSAT for prep schools? If so, you may be better off posting a thread in the prep school section.
