Hello Everyone, I have recently written board exams in 19th March.I Plan to take my SAT/ACT Exams on October-December this year. Anyone knows how to prepare for ACT and SAT exams during the holidays? Which books should i take?? Also what is considered a competitive CGPA for Harvard,Yale,Princeton,MIT and Caltech?
US colleges do not only look at SAT/ ACT scores and CGPA. They look at extracurricular activities.teacher recommendations, essays and also how much you can pay (except HYPMDA)
SAT/ACT- There are a lot of books available online. Also on this forum , there are sections devoted to testing. Please check these out.
Generally, top applicants from India have around 90%+ from 9th to 12th. Higher grades will not make you competitive, but it will not hurt you either.
Don’t take a gap year solely to get into the colleges you mentioned, because it is extremely competitive, and quite unpredictable.

The books I reccomend are McGraw hills, princeton review, barrons, kaplan and college board (most important)
As stated above, SAT is not the only thing. There r several other important factors.
CGPA depends on your board. which board r u going to for 11th n 12th?
