How do you get your parents to stop blaming the habits they hate for your illnesses?

Like seriously, I might lose my appetite 5% of the time, or get 3 colds a year, or occasionally fail to fall asleep for like 10 nights in a given year.

And then they start blaming the habits of mine they hate for all of my minor illnesses. It’s annoying as hell and it makes me VERY unwilling to bring up any illness of mine to them.

And fact is, even if I was normal, I’d still have those problems. I might even have more problems. Most people occasionally lose their appetite, fail to fall asleep, and get 5-6 colds a year. Plus, my colds only last for 1-2 days anyways.

Oh yeah, and don’t get me started on stupid medical crap that some Chinese parents believe for some reason. Such as “OMG COLD WATER AFTER MEALS = HEART ATTACKS!!!” or “OMG IF YOU HAVE A COLD THEN STOP GOING OUT IN THE COLD”. Okay hello parents, maybe you didn’t know that I actually read medical journals and Pubmed for fun? And that those cause me to procrastinate on my math homework until it’s overdue?
