How do you tackle weekend homework?

It seems like my teacher’s are always giving me homework for the weekends and I always find myself sitting here on a Sunday night with nothing accomplished. The weekdays are easy for me because I can just sit in the cafeteria after school and do all my schoolwork. But one Friday comes around, I always say to myself “you have 2 days to do it!” and dart home as fast as I can to play some Halo.

Aside from the obvious answer, staying after school on Friday, what are some other ways tackle homework on the weekend?

Not playing Halo all weekend.

I like to have fun Friday and Saturday, and spread my work throughout all day sunday. Always works for me. Unless its a lot, then i do some Saturday morning.

I don’t do it…

Jk… I do…

Usually Friday I party… Saturday is sports and if I have time homework… Then Sunday is procrastinate… Then pull an all nighter

My teachers give ridiculous amounts of hw every weekend… Wooo

I like to give myself the day off (as long as the homework load isn’t TOO ridiculous) on Friday. Then I do my best to spread the work out on Saturday and Sunday. I find it helps to sit down and write a list of everything you have to do. Then you get to enjoy that feeling of accomplishment when you cross something off! Sometimes I give myself incentives, too, like, “If I finish this essay, I can have a snack, go outside, play Halo, whatever.” Good luck!

Friday–if not a lot of homework, do no homework. If a lot, consider doing it and then don’t do any of it.

Saturday–think about doing homework, maybe do a tiny bit.

Sunday–finally start homework, work lazily through it taking way longer than it should, finally start doing it seriously and end up doing it late at night.

Good thing I only have two more weeks of this. And then my school year is over (only one non-AP/college class)!!

Do it Monday morning and during school

It’s tough. I have to get it codons before I lounge or do sports

^^done not codons

We have 4 day weeks like half the time or more (its an interesting schedule). Plus I have first Period Study hall. Usually it goes like this:

Friday: Party, mess around, sports, Video Games, or whatever.
Saturday: All kinds of stuff not called homework.
Sunday: Church, Family time, Open Gym, maybe youthgroup… procrastinate HW is no school on monday. If there is school, still procrastinate it and pull off some amazing speed work first period :P

Of course this is assuming I have the minimal and easy homework load usual, but it is big I will get it done on Saturday.

Do it Sunday night. Pull all-night and/or do it Monday in classes you don’t necessarily have to pay attention in.

Nice to know I’m not the only one who procrastinates :P

I have the worst work habits. This weekend’s homework was completed this morning. I basically showed up an hour early and did all the work I “should” have done on Friday night. Oh well.

Friday: It’s impossible to do HW, because all I want to do is relax.
Saturday: All my nice, easy, fun HW. Like precalc.
Sunday: ■■■■ ■■■ I haven’t done anything panic.
I still manage to get everything done on time though :)

Friday: Are you kidding?
Saturday: Are you kidding?
Sunday: Are you… oh, *. Well, not like I’m going to go to bed on time tonight anyway, so I may as well continue *ing around.
Monday: 1 am: guess I’d better start my homework…

i just dont do it on the weekend :)

instead i wake up early monday morning and do it all then.

Friday- relax
Saturday-get rid of big project&homework that takes 2hrs +
Sunday-busywork

I usually try to knock off one or two larger assignments on Saturday and do the rest on Sunday. I’ll spread heavy reading/writing over the two days if possible. I try to do a busywork assignment between larger ones, or get it all done first.

“Breaking the ice” for a large assignment on a Friday night works well. Even if you only do, say, 10% of it, you will have finished up the hardest part for weekends–beginning.
