How Do You............?

How do you define hard work? Is it success or just doing your best?

If it’s just doing your best, then how do you define doing your best??

Hard work is doing something to the best of your ablitities. I would define it by the reward you get in return, whether it is material or something deeper, like a life lesson and such.I also thing that success is directly related to doing your best, so both.

I would define hard work (as in, the hardest of hard) as doing something you absolutely HATE and don’t expect to be rewarded for, but still doing your 100% best on it.

Hard work is studying at night.

Studying when others are asleep.

Studying 6-8 hours straight is hardwork, nothing less.
Reading 6 hours straight is hard work.

work smart not hard

I define hard work as something so physically exhausting that one feels like one is going to keel over and go unconscious at the end of the day. I have a job where everyone does that, and it’s not pretty. That’s why I’m going to college to get an office job. I don’t care if I just answer phones and fill coffee pots; that’s much better than exhausting my body every day. I can understand anyone being tired after work, but I (and my co-workers) often go home sore from all the heavy lifting, running around, and going up and down stairs. Sitting at a desk doing anything is so much better.

I don’t think school is really hard work at all. Reading and writing are not hard work, until your wrists can no longer support the book, and your hand is so cramped you can’t write any more. Until that point, schoolwork isn’t hard work.

Pushing yourself to the limit.

Just feeling like you’ve done “much”, doesn’t necessarily have to try your best.

For example, for me, if I study 2 hours that’s VERY hard work to myself, so it’s relative at best.

Hard work is knowing that you couldn’t possibly do more. It’s pushing yourself to the limit basically.

Hard work is not just doing my best, it’s putting every last effort into getting a successful career.

^ To me, doing my best = getting into a successful career.
