Am curious about others’ experience with amazon in this regard.
Ordered a rare specialized item from a third party seller 2 weeks ago. 6 days afterwards, amazon itself sent me a notice that the seller hasn’t sent them shipment information in the expected timeframe.
Worse, when sent a message to the seller last week asking about shipment status, I have yet to receive any response.
Filled the A-to-z guarantee claim today as it was more than 2 business days after the last message I sent to the seller and a Federal Holiday overlapped in between.
They’ve always refunded everything promptly to me. In some cases you have to fight a little bit for it, by that I mean you have to ask twice or ask for the boss.
I always do the call me option for customer service - the phone rings immediately with a rep and they always refund while I am on the phone (including 3rd party sellers). Once they made me wait until the expected delivery date (even though I knew it was lost) but after that they refunded with no problem.
Cool! Got a prompt response. They’ve apologized, fully refunded the gift cards, and have opened an investigation into the seller.
Seems that while the seller’s past reviews were great, he/she has had a sudden torrent of complaints about non-shipment of items within the last couple of weeks and several have provided feedback within the last 24 hours.
