ok, so i willl be a junior next year, and i kind of messed up freshman and sophmore year bec. i thought they didnt matter. I ended up with a 3.6 at the end of sophmore year. Also out of six classes, four were honors/AP and 2 were CP classes. How much will my GPA hurt me, do i still have a chance of getting into a decent UC like Berekely or at least something like Stanford? will it help if i get a 4.0 all junior year and first semester senior year? please help, and by the way this is my first thread on this site. Hooray!=)

if you have better GPA in your junior year, it’ll definitely be better.
Also, this is most likely not the best place for you to post a thread. This is a sub-forum for international students from Nepal and the grading, school system is much different from that in the US. you might want to try UC berkeley sub-forum or something similar.

^
As an international applicant myself, I sometimes come to this part of the forums to read up on some threads. I find it absurd that every time I do check in, there is a domestic applicant asking a question. How does that even happen? Why the “Nepal” sub-forum?!

It made sense because up until a year and a half or so ago, there used to be a thread “Class of 2014 from Nepal”, “class of 2013 from Nepal.” A lot of people had similar questions and they’d either have to go through the entire thread or try and search or ask again. I think some of the users then requested the admin to create a nepal subforum (they already had sub forums for China, India and singapore I think). After a while, the admins did it. It just is easier for a lot of people who’re applying from Nepal.

Ah, nah man. I was referring to US applicants asking for help here!
