These are the classes I am taking for sophomore year and if anyone has taken any of them, I want to know how hard they are and how much homework you get and what AP classes are like (this is my first one)
AP Lit + Comp
U.S. History
Geometry
Advanced Algebra (Algebra 2)
Chemistry
Spanish 2
Health
Study Hall
Well these all depend on your teacher and school but in general:
AP Lit is easy if you enjoy reading. Read a lot and follow the teachers instructions and you will do well.
U.S History is basically stuff you’ve learned since you were small. Not too difficult although it will require you to read quite a bit in order to know all the details.
Geometry–not a terribly difficult subject but definitely requires a spatially orientated brain. If you have trouble with trigonometry this may be difficult.
Algebra 2–pretty simple, basically a continuation of what you’ve been learning since Pre-algebra. Should go well with geometry.
Chemistry–if it’s not AP then it will be quite easy as it’s an introductory course. Prepare for memorization of equations and element names/symbols.
Spanish 2: if you paid attention in Spanish 1 you should be fine but this is the class where they introduce almost all of the tenses so make sure to not get confused. More memorization.
Health: easy. Maybe some memorization required but it’s mostly common knowledge type material.
Study Hall: perfect time to catch up on any missed work.
Sounds like a fun course load!
It varies school by school, teacher by teacher. Your best bet is to find people who have taken those classes before at your school.
