How hard is it to transfer?

Ok So I have a 2020 SAT superscore, and a 104 TOEFL. Unfortunately, I did not get into any good colleges this year. I was accepted only at safeties, and since I cannot, under any circumstances, take another year off, I have to attend a safety school in the us. Currently, I’m thinking of going to Caldwell College, NJ, and thinking of transferring to a good school. I do not know much of the transfers from caldwell college, so i was wondering if there was anybody to help.

Does anybody know how hard is it to transfer from caldwell? Also, I need a lot of financial aid. I was offered a $25000 scholarship at caldwell, and still its very hard for me to pay for the remaining expenses.

So i’m thinking of transferrring to

  1. Uni of Michigan–ann harbor
  2. Villanova Uni
  3. Texam A&M, and a few of the ivies.
I wanted to know, will there be scholarships/financial aid for me if I transfer to such schools?

From what I’ve read, international transfers are rarely (in the sense that it is very competitive) given aid. Nonetheless, yes, there will be scholarships available. Aid - tough

But I don’t know, would you be counted as a int’l transfer in the first place? I mean, who are int’l transfers ? * Internationals who transfer * or * students transferring from international schools * ?

And what is the basis of this classification? Placing UMich on the top, and * A&M and a few of the ivies * at the bottom.

stay in the college you are in. You won’t get aid at michigan or a&m or nova.

Do any of you guys know how good Caldwell is? Of course its a safety, but still.

@compscifan the list is random. There is no basis of classification. Just wrote em’ off the top of my head.

@dibbasatya are there any colleges/unis that do? i mean i’m not aiming at ivies or anything. Just want to transfer to a reputed school that offers engineering. Any suggestions?
