How important is english class on a hs transcript?

<p>So, i’m taking 4 aps, 3 honors this year as a junior. I’ve gotten straight a’s in all but hn english 11. I’ve been landing solid b’s all quarter and i doubt it’ll get any better from here on forth due to my teacher’s insane grading criteria. At this point, I’m pretty sure if i put in the effort, i’ll end up w/a b/b+ </p>

<p>When it comes to colleges, how important is my english class grade? Will this probable b have a detrimental impact on me even if all my other classes are stellar? </p>

<p>It’s definitely a core class, and all “good” colleges will expect you to be a proficient writer. Even if you are applying to solid STEM schools, try to work on your English skills and maybe talk to the teacher.</p>
