So here’s my situation. I confirmed to go to Emory University. I’ve seen the campus (although only through a virtual tour) and was left a little unimpressed. Don’t get me wrong it looks really cool and the interior of the buildings are pretty nice. I don’t dislike the campus, however I realized a couple of months ago that I was in love with the older castle looking campuses. I just love that style of huge buildings that have some sort of old cathedral/castle/hogwarts look to them, and Emory doesn’t really have that. So my question is, how important is the campus really? Did any of you accept an offer of a university that you were excited about, but still weren’t looking forward to the campus much? Do you care about the campus at all? Do you think it’ll affect your experience much? Thanks
If you are excited by the school – including the academic opportunities, people you met etc. then you will be fine. In the end, that is all more important than the look of the buildings. Enjoy Emory and stop second guessing yourself.
