How is the Physics department at UVa?

<p>Are physics students studying 24/7? Are the teachers good? Are all physics majors nerds? Is the physics major extremely difficult?</p>

<p>I often hear about the averages of physics exams being around 20-30 out of 100, lol. E-school physics as well as CLAS physics.</p>

<p>i like pie - I am an intended physics major as well and would love more info on this. Not so much as to how hard it is but how good is it?? I’m trying to decide between Vandy and UVa - most say Vandy for physics (sciences in general).
So, more info on physics at UVa would be helpful!</p>
