UCI ADMISSIONS ON FB messaged me. “Decisions will be sent out on a rolling basis. Unfortunately we will not have many spots to fill.”
“Freshmen decisions are sent out on a rolling basis - I cannot provide an exact date. Transfer waitlisters are/have been notified.Please consider back-up plans or alternate schools to be safe.”
I would assume it’s over now. June 1st extension for no reason. lol

It doesn’t make much sense that they would accept appeals and not many people from the waitlist
Whatever I posted up there was all they said to me. Why appeals and not waitlisted students… That’s ridiculous…
We were waitlisted because we were almost accepted…

I don’t think they’re rejecting us… Clearly if they’re coming out on a rolling basis there will be SOME acceptances. I wouldn’t become completely hopeless

Planning on doing it after school. I’m just going to ask if they’ve released any batches yet because I know they’re not going to give me a date
I live right by UCI. Should I walk there and politely ask them?
I live right next to the campus so I can go into the office and just ask them about the waitlist

Hmm, since they said they wont be accepting a lot i wonder how many said yes to the waitlist and how many theyll accept from the waitlist.
thats also not fair how they’re accepting more appeals than waitlists
since they said freshman who are on the waitlist cannot appeal
Both freshman and transfers can appeal on the waitlist. The deadline to appeal was April 15th though.
@blah97blah The meaning of Appeal here is who is on the waitlist, and also appealed.
Not appeal from rejected.
Called them, no freshmen have gotten off the waitlist. Batches will be released at the end of this month
