Didn’t ask about appeals… It doesn’t make much sense as to why appealers found out before the waitlist but I guess we just have to wait
Been waiting for so long already. All the other UC’s have released except them. I would understand if they needed this extra time to count a big number of people who they can pull off the waitlist but to not be accepting many people if not any, is ridiculous. They had so much time for nothing. UC Davis accepted 1700 off the waitlist. It doesn’t make sense. UCLA CAL AND SD ALL ACCEPTED PEOPLE OFF THE WAITLIST…
I walked into the admissions office and asked them what their status is on the freshman wait list. All they said was that we will be receiving decisions at the end of the month.
I just spoke to them and they said that they are waiting to expand the class and just need the go ahead from Admin
what does ‘expand the class’ mean? they are going to accept more freshman than their orginal plan?

i got a message back from admissions they said the same thing that waitlist decisions will be released soon but very few, if any spots are available so be sure to have a back-up plan
i honestly don’t know what our chances are anymore guys… 
i’m prepared for the good and the bad now tho!
still kinda upset they extended the deadline just to reject most of us like man that’s such a bummer
Well we did this to ourselves. We should all learn from this experience and make this a driving force to do better in the future.
Umm, we tried hard in the past 4 years, I’m pretty sure, @noegeorge . Harder than all the halfwits that never even tried, and now we’re in the same boat as them. It’s not so much our fault as it is the system’s, really. Maybe instead of making assumptions toward a whole group of people, you should keep that to yourself. -_-
ah so you are the type that always blames the system instead of blaming yourself. Apparently you or I didn’t try hard enough and that’s why we are in this situation. LOL
@noegeorge who are you to think all of us are the same and that we didn’t try?
I know 4 black people who got into ucla with around a 3.2 GPa over asian people such as myself because there are so many asians at uc schools and they want to increase diversity. Im sure those people had great attributes as well but a lot of qualified asians were turned down because there are just so many.
Maybe it’s not 100% the system and I’m sure we could have tried harder such as maybe retaking the act or sat one more, but don’t say we didn’t try
I did 6 ib classes in just one year and 7 if you count tok and got a 4.7 ish GPa junior year but I still didn’t get in.

Honestly it’s hard to tell if someone’s actually mad online
But I do agree that our possible rejection is a driving force to work harder in the future

@waitlisted1234 Well, if even I know that not accepted into UCI doesn’t mean I’m not qualified, and I also know there are too many people are better than me, but still, it will be not that easy to stay happy 
Especially when I got rejected from UCSC’s wl…ugh life gets harder lol

Grades don’t define who you are
And who knows, maybe they got lucky and got in even though you have better grades
Never compare yourself with someone who got in because you deserved just as much as they did to get accepted
Yeah, UCSC rejected all on the waitlist this year -pat pat- it’s okay buddy
My amazing friend was rejected too but she’s still going many places, as are you.
