How long should a book review be?

For the final project in my AP English class, we have to choose a book and do certain things after reading it, one of which is writing a book review that parallels those in the New York Times and such. The slight problem that I am having is that my teacher would like 4 pages, but I am done with three and I feel redundant. Does 4 pages seem long for a book review, or is it just me?

The book that I am writing the review on is “The Bonesetter’s Daughter,” by Amy Tan.

I apologize ahead of time if I posted this in the wrong forum.

Thank you for your commentary!

Word and page requirements are tough. We have to do what the teacher wants. Try expanding on your descriptive portions. Perhaps do a German style intro paragraph with lots of flowery examples.

Doesn’t matter how long a book review should be.

If your teacher wants four pages, or twenty pages, you give her that.
