How many takin AP ENG LIT/ LAN / AP LANGUAGE/ CALC BC?

i am just curious. how many of you here are taking

 1. AP ENG LIT
 2. AP ENG LAN
 3. AP FRENCH / SPANISH LANG / LIT
 4. CALC BC

these courses seems to be pretty important apprantly… i just want to know if your school offers these, and which ones, and which ones are you taking this year or have taken.

ill start. my school doesnt have ap eng lan. but im taking ap eng lit and ap french lan, took calc bc last year.

I took french language last year and am taking english lit and calc BC this year. I took english language in 10th grade.

I look Eng Lang last year, and am in Eng Lit this year. I’m taking Calc AB - I was rec’ced for BC but am a really poor (relatively, compared to the rest of the math geniuses) math student - I just spend a lot of time on the material to keep my grades up, I don’t just brillantly “get it.”

What other APs are you all taking? I took US Hist last year and am taking Euro and Gov’t this year.

I’m taking the AP English Lit, U.S. Gov’t, Macroecon, Microecon, Calc AB, Spanish Lang, and French Lang tests in May (All except Microecon, Spanish Lang, and French Lang are actual classes of mine; I’m also taking AP Chem but won’t be taking the AP test). Last year I took AP English Lang and U.S. History. AP classes are fun, but hard as all get up (specifically any AP math or science course; I’m such a humanities guy).

you’re taking a hardcore amount of aps, phil - you make me worried that my courseload is not adequate.

i’m definitely a humanities girl, too - math and science are vile, vile, vile

Well, I have standard rigorous courseload (4 APs (five including a second semester) in the four core academic areas). However, AP Chem and AP Calc can just go to That Bad Place of Fire because I have to fight them every grading period. I love AP Gov’t and AP English, but the others (with the exception of those I’m self-studying) are just crap.

I guess I have a 4 AP course load too; the amount of tests you’re taking is just overwhelming to me!

I totally agree with you on the Gov’t and English - and yeah, I have to duke it out with Calc, too. “Fighting them every grading period” is an apt way to put it.

i’m taking

AP English Language
AP English Literature
AP Spanish Language
AP Sanish Literature
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC

I’m took Lang, taking Lit and BC among others.

Encomium: lit and lang in the same year? that must suck!

and yet I think he’ll benefit from it greatly. The Lang and Lit tests aren’t all that different (English, that is). Spanish is a different story, heheh. I almost wish I could self-study Spanish Lit but I don’t have a good book list or a place where I could get them. Sad day.

well in my school we do english lang first semester english lit second

philintex: do you want a book? i can give you a great link to buy one for like 25 or 30 dollars (the one i’m using)

as in a textbook or a book off the reading list? either way, I’d probably be interested.

there are a couple of readings not in that book, but most are in there

that is the hugest link i have ever encountered.

Haha, but it was worth it! Mil gracias, Encomium. I do believe I’ll be purchasing that one. Maybe there’s hope for Lit yet…

lol, wow, i know

yep im taking eng lit, french lan, bio, eco micro and macro, stats, comp sci ab, art history. last year took phy b, c, chem, calc bc, and world history.

are anyone NOT taking these courses for many reason but their school offer it?
