Well…we only have had one trick or treaters this year. We live in a small neighborhood, and all the kids are grown up enough to go to parties.
Guess I’ll have a huge basket of candy to take with me to work on Monday.

If your light is still on, you may get some older kids later-- it is a weekend and some teen parties may decide they also want to trick or treat.
I just had more than 20 show up in a ten-minute period. That’s more than we get the whole night most years. (We’re at the end of a long dead-end street.)
It’s nice weather and it’s a Saturday. Maybe that’s making the difference.
I inventory every year by making a certain number of treat bags.
Our neighborhood children are all grown up, and the costs of these homes are prohibitive to young families. So, we get vans full of children from other neighborhoods. Our front yards are small and don’t require too much walking, so it is a popular neighborhood.
Last year was our lowest number-80 bags.
At our peak years, we had over 200 kids.
It is now 4:32 pm, so we’ll see what we get!
HAVE A SAFE HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!
I have had a steady stream for the past two hours. We’ve easily had over 150 kids and they’ll keep coming until at least 9pm. 8-X
None. Keeping our 20-yr record unbroken.
Surprisingly small amount … I didn’t count but normally I am not sitting down between the knocks on the door
4 (in one group) so far. I live on a cul-de-sac, and even though I have my light on, as do my neighbors on the court, kids aren’t coming.
We live in a huge subdivision and usually get 200+ kids, this year it’s almost 7:00 and we’ve only had about 20 or so kids! I already started giving handfuls instead of pieces. I’m afraid I bought too much candy this year! Maybe we’ll have more later this year since it’s a Saturday.
Not one so far.
@auntbea You buy 80 bags of candy every year?
None. We live on a state road with few neighbors that have children. I even forgot to light the pumpkins so my wife reminded me.
Six so far and one was the almost 2 yr old from two doors down. He looked adorable in an elephant costume. H did the candy shopping this year and bought way too much. I don’t expect more than 1 or 2 more kids. I’ll turn the light off when I go take my bath in a bit.
I just had pair return, about 5 and 6 years old I think. They apologize and said that had been to our house earlier. We live on a corner lot and I think they just got turned around. I gave them extra candy for their honesty.
None for me. My daughter lives in an apartment complex and she got a few; less than she expected.
Not enough.
Five groups of four-five so far. The city is holding an event, so maybe the little kids are going there
We usually get between 120-150 kids, but tonight we only got about 90 kids.
I bought more candy than usual because I thought we’d get more traffic since it’s a Saturday, but it didn’t work that way.
Just got a huge burst so maybe we are up to 75+ Dog is down to one WOOF! per knock or ring of the doorbell. This is progress, the last two years he went nuts on Halloween!
Well we had over two hundred pieces of candy and have few left. But we did give several pieces away at a time at certain points.
We’ve probably had 40-50 kids. Seems consistent with years past. Once again we are almost out of candy and husband made a run to Walgreens for one more small bag.
Don’t ask me why we never figure this out. My son loves to give out the candy and always gives out too much at first.
None, but it was expected. This is my first year in a condo - no soliciting.
I’m not a big fan of halloween anyway.
