How many wrongs can you get for a good TOEFL score?

<p>Here’s the question: How many wrongs or omits can you get without ruining your chance to elite colleges? I heard 260+ is a good score, then what scores do you have to receive on each section to get those scores? </p>

<p>I am a total newb to TOEFL so if someone can tell me if TOEFL is easier than SAT or about the same?</p>

<p>Look at TOEFL as a pass/fail. You just have to pass the min TOEFL requirement as specified by the university. After that they will look at your SAT-v. The highest min TOEFL requirement I’ve seen is around 250-260. So if you score 260 or above, you should be fine. Scoring way above the min won’t buy you much … certainly won’t compensate for a low SAT-v.</p>

<p>And we never know how many questions we answered incorrectly for the TOEFL. The score sheet doesn’t state. I agree with GoBlue. It’s a pass/fail thing. Some colleges also have minimum requirements for the essay portion so good luck with that.</p>

I got 610v and 640w in my SATs, can someone give me a prediction about my TOEFL range please?</p>

<p>yeah…just pay attention during listening…cause u only get to hear the things once…but if you r awake enough :wink: then u will easily make 30/30 as i did…</p>
