How much will I be working next year?

I’m worried about my course load for senior year as of now.
Even Days:
AP Calc BC
AP Comp Sci A (self study AB)
Study Hall/Lunch
AP European History
AP Physics C

Odd days:
AP Calc BC (its every day)
AP English Lit
Study Hall/Lunch
AP Economics
AP Physics C (almost every day, 3 out of 10 days are gym)

How much HW will I have from these (granted I can do 30-60 minutes worth during those lunch/SH periods)?

Can I afford to give up a lunch/study block for another AP?

If you’re worried about the course load as it is, why stick in another AP?
I think you’re schedule looks pretty packed as it is. You’re taking 6 APs…I’m sure 7 APs will neither help nor break you a significant amount, college admissions wise but it might break you mentally/physically.

I say leave it as is unless you feel like you need to take less in order to do well in all of them.

I’m very surprised, but there are students like you all over the country.

Well, I"m assuming you’re going to apply for some ivy league/big state schools. B/c you’re ambitious.

Do not give up lunch!!! I saw some kids do that, and unless you are pretty capable of sitting down for a long time or you don’t mind eating sandwich in your previous class for the rest of the year, I would advise you to not give up lunch. It’s so important to just have a short break and talk to friends for a bit. Lunch is so important to stay focused and you can just review your upcoming classes (say for a test) or go to your teacher to clear up anything you didn’t understand.

ANd for you APclasses, the workload would depend on the teachers. but you are up for some work. for AP Lit, we wrote essays and read a lot of books. Tons of inclass stuff, and outside of class was mainly research and seminar prep. For AP Econ (is this micro & macro??), the work load wasn’t too bad, except you had to be consistent with the pacing and youwill always have something to do. I call this never ending cycle. And as for ap physics, you’ll be working on that during lunch ifyou have any extracurriculars, say sports. And as for the self study thing, good luch with that. i did that for ap bio (in junior year, b/c i thought i couldn’t take it for my senior year with schedule conflict) and i got a three. not to shabby, but not too impressed. but yeah, online classes are hard to pace, so you’re doing that online, keep up witht he chedule.

WIth the lunch hour, I would guess about 3 hrs daily. no joke. esp, history and lit will take a lot of reading time. and you can’t afford to do that the day it’s due.

I wouldn’t give up the free period…your mental health will suffer greatly and it won’t give you that much of an edge…My advice…keep your sanity…it’s bound to be useful somewhere.

AP Econ is both Macro and Micro at our school.
My counselor said to expect 2 hours of HW a night from each AP, but from experience I would say its about 1-1.5 for me. So if I throw in at least 30 min working during lunch/study hall that’s only 5.5h max/3.5h min per day. So it won’t be too bad. I just hope my AP Eco and AP Euro teachers don’t get crazy.
I won’t panic unless I find out that I get 7h per night. That’s pretty much the most I can stand (and that’s a stretch).
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!!
