Last night at a restaurant, saw an older woman, full head of grey hair, rockin’ some faux leather leggings, boots, and a big long cozy sweater.
Simple and chic.

I want to be that rocking older woman. The age is there, but the rest? Miles to go. (Though I looked at some pix of college classmates and I’m not so bad.) @yauponredux , Mirren looked great.
Oh, also, I wear leather shoes all the time.
Ruelala has some Vince leather jackets today…
I’ve seen leather on well dressed women in their 80s. The fit and style are more of a determining factor than the fabric.
Does suede count? I have a suede jacket I still wear that I believe still looks good on me. One of my former board members found a long leather coat at a thrift shop and wore it all over Japan. She’s in her 70s and fit and dresses well.
@HImom Love suede! Think it usually reads less “tough girl” than leather.
I bought myself and D suede blazers a few years ago when Costco had them for like $49 apiece. I had not owned a suede blazer and like it.
I bought a BCBGeneration leather Moto Jacket at Nordstrom Rack. Originally $398, then on clearance with extra 30% off for Black Friday - down to $97. I have not worn it yet except for self-enjoyment in a mirror at home.
Well, due to this thread, have dusted off and am wearing suede blazer. It does keep the chill off when it’s in low 60s here.
Go for it @Madison85 !
