<p>Pushydad - My D got the Leadership award (8K) with a 3.6 UW, 4.4 W, 30 ACT, decent ECs, NHS, DECA, Varsity sport. You never know until you open the letter. Again, congrats and good luck!</p>
<p>Hi All! Thanks for all the great posts. My D is waiting for word from Tulane and this thread has been fantastic and helpful. I haven’t been able to read every single page so forgive me if what I am asking is already here…but has anyone heard about their admission from so cal, admin counselor Jeff Schiffman? <p>Pushydad, Yay!! Congrats! Kudos! Amazing! Worth the wait! (and Gibson issues) Mazol Tov! I know you have been waiting a VERY long time. I’m glad you got the outcome you wanted. Hopefully merit money will be an added bonus.</p>
<p>My D2 found out that she was admitted a week ago and she got her letter yesterday. Although we are thrilled that she got in, she got no merit money at all. She has a 3.5 GPA and 32 ACT, good EC’s, etc. She goes to one of the top high schools in our state (MA) well know for its rigor with many applicants to Tulane. For those of you waiting for the letter, I hope you see some merit money. And for everyone still checking Gibson, good luck, I hope you see “Congratulstions” next time you log in.</p>
<p>Thanks for all of the congratulations! To clarify, yes I meant that 3.75 weighted (3.32 UW on a 4.0 +1 scale) was on the “low” side by Tulane applicant standards and the stats posted on this forum. We are certainly proud of her accomplishments, both academic and non-academic, think she would thrive at Tulane, and are thrilled that Tulane agreed. All of the students described here sound amazing, and hopefully many of them will be on campus next year.</p>

<p>Probably just another Gibson glitch, getmein12. I would ignore it. Call admissions tomorrow if it hasn’t changed and you are really concerned.</p>

<p>I am not sure what you are concerned about. It just says they are looking at your file and you will have a decision by Dec 15. So you are right, not a glitch, just a message saying the decision is coming.</p>
<p>getmein12- that message is normal. Once my application was complete, that message remained until I received my acceptance</p>

<p>For everyone who is still waiting; D posted her acceptance on FB and heard from several friends who applied to TU with better stats that have not heard yet. So there is no reason to be pessimistic. BTW, I printed the congratulations message from Gibson and taped it to her mirror. She was in shock for two minutes, then ecstatic! It was/is so much fun to watch.</p>
