<p>Yes, although the chances of getting something more are fairly slim. But TulaneJeff did a great blog post about this a couple months back. Just Google that name and you will see his blog. You will have to look back at some older posts of his but you will find it. That is about merit aid. Have you already gotten a need based offer?</p>
<p>Haha fallenchemist, I’ve reread that blog so many times! And yeah I got a need based award already, but was hoping with an appeal I’d get some additional merit.</p>
<p>OK. Before Jeff published that people would ask that all the time, especially in PM’s. The advice I gave happened to be virtually identical, so I really have nothing to add to it. But give it a shot, for sure. You have absolutely nothing to lose, the worst they can say is no, and you will be exactly where you are right now.</p>
