How to ask someone to a dance?

It also depends on how well you know the guy. I mean, if he’s a friend, or casual acquaintance, or someone you really don’t know at all.

I would say just ask him to the dance casually. If you make a big deal of it, it’ll seem worse if he says no, or if he’s got another date.

very simply:

“do you have plans to attend the dance?”
yes/no

if yes-“oh, who are you going with?”
someone/no one

if no one-“would you like to go to the dance with me?”
yes/no

it’s cooler than thinking up something elaborate.

does anyone have any cute ideas cuz i know the simple stuff but something like these:

we have lots of snow here (minnesota of course) so my friend went in her date’s backyard and imprinted a big heart with her shoes and poured red koolaid where she stepped (the dance was called heart throb) then she imprinted THROB? in the middle of the heart with koolaid and called him and told him to look outside.

a lot of people do the traditional “bake him something” like my friend who made a heart shaped cookie cake and wrote throb? on it and had it delivered to her date’s study hall class.

A really simple but cute thing that my guy friend did for homecoming was he wrote on a blank check “Homecoming with you would be priceless”.

So does anyone have any ideas like that?

Idea #1:

In his driveway or somewhere in his front yard outline your body in white chalk and put caution tape around it. Then write/leave a note that says “I’m just dying to take you to Sadies and it would be a crime if you said no!” :)

Idea #2:

Cut out a bunch of fish on construction paper and tape them up around in his room. Leave a bag of Goldfish or Swedish Fish and on a poster write “Of all the fish in the sea, you’re the one I want to go to Sadies with me! If knowing my name is what you wish, you’ll find it hidden under the fish.” Then write the letters to your name on the back of some of the fish you put up and he’ll have to put them in order. :)

Idea #3:

Get a plain white shirt and on the front write “Will you go to the dance with me?” And on the back list the names of girls he knows. Include your name but write yours in permanent marker and their names in washable markers. Then leave instructions to wash it. Works great on a pillowcase, too! :)

These are just a few to get your creative juices flowing (haha!) Whatever you do just keep it light-hearted and fun  Good luck asking! :)

Those are cute!
