How to Begin a Personal Essay

<p>I have a problem with starting an essay, especially when it comes to personal essays</p>

<p>I’m applying to a (high) school and they require an essay portion. I’m going to hopefully write about my internship with a doctor and I was wondering how to start it. I can’t, for the life of me, write an intro that I don’t automatically hate and ultimately delete.</p>

<p>Any tips? help? anything???</p>

<p>Write the end first.</p>

<p>Give yourself a time limit, and write the whole thing in one session. You’ll probably end up with a crappy introduction followed by a decent body/conclusion, but then you can work backwards to fix the beginning.</p>
