How to calculate GPA?

Hi, my school does not give gpa or rank as it is against the schools tradition. Our school, however, does give +/- grads (like B+ or A-). I checked on the williams website and was wondering if their grade calculator translated to high school grades. Also, do other non-academic classes (e.g. Orchestra or Chorus) count towards my gpa?

Here's the williams calculator:
A+ 4.33 B+ 3.33 C+ 2.33 D+ 1.33
A 4.00 Excellent B 3.00 Good C 2.00 Fair D 1.00 Passing
A- 3.67 B- 2.67 C- 1.67 D- .67

thanks!

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Some schools give 4.33 for an A+ and some don't though.

Every course you take that gets put on your transcript (usually) gets factored into your GPA.

Depends on the school. At my school, the suffixes (- or +) doesn't matter. For example, both A and A- is 4.0.

^ He said that they do matter at his school.
