How to get an a+

Help!
So I completely screwed up my gpa.
overall its a 3.4 but for this year (junior) it is a 3.1
and I calculated it and the highest my gpa can be for this year is a 3.7
but that is only if. ONLY IF I get A+ on everything. the next two marking periods and my final exams.
So please help me you smarties with a 4.0 gpa out there.

How do you get A+
it seems like impossible to get a 100 on anything.
How can i get a perfect score on everything from here on out?
Please help me! Any tips?
I’m desperate.

My dream school is UF and if I get a perfect score from here on out I can scrape out a 3.8 weighted GPA which is the mid range gpa of accepted UF students (3.8-4.2) who applied to Summer B.

My backups are Florida State University and University of Central Florida but I really don’t want to go there and if I do ill only go for a year and transfer out.

PLEASE HELP ME!

By the way I have a lot of extra curricular activities. Swimming, Dancing, Piano, Latin Club, Service Club, FBLA, Mock Trial (jury only - couldn’t make the time commitment), Relay for Life (Advertising), Steering Committee, Head of TOK Fundraiser (plan and manage events to raise money for charities), Volunteer weekly at Animal Hospital and Physical Rehab center.

Oh and I’m in the IB diploma program.

just study, and work your butt off. Study what beforehand what the class will learn the next day. Do your hwk, stay after school for extra help. Stay on top of all school related stuff. Do not slack off and make sure that you really do understand everything that is going on. Do extra some extra work and some extra cred. You might be able to scrape a low to mid A

oh, I just read the 2nd post. If you are in IB your GPA should be pushed up a bit. What is your weighted GPA? It must be better than the GPA you told us.

Also, take out the EC’s you think are a waste of time, that you do not really like. I used to be in almost every club at my school and then I notices htta in fact I did not like most of them, nor were they helping me. They were just a waste of time.

This is my unweighted.
my overall Weighted GPA is about 4.1 with my terrible junior year so far
and i only took 4 honors classes when i was a freshman and sophomore.

with my ec. they are seasonal. so like mocktrail is only for a few months in the winter, steering comittee is during lunch, clubs are during lunch, fund raising was only two weeks.
like everything i listed isnt in my schedule all at the same time.

does your school report UW GPA’s to colleges?

^^oh okay.
that’s fine then.

what made you get the bad GPA at first? Slacking, did not understand work? If you know why you messed up, it can help you fix yourself up.

yeah. my school goes by a 4.3 gpa.
but 4.3 is like A++
so my 3.4 gpa which is a B+ is still a 3.4 on a 4.0 scale

for one thing I wasn’t use to the course load. I was use to slacking off and getting by. But now I actually have to work. I knew i had to work hard this year but I was so unfocused and this was a huge wakeup call for me. Freshman and Sophomore year I only took 4 honor classes in total. So it was a huge level of difficulty increase for me…
But now i know what i have to do so hopefully I can improve!

^
I had the same issue. I’m an I.B. junior as well and the rigor of the classes shocked me. So no worries, the majority of regular I.B. junior’s go through this transition.

SO now that you know that you need to crank up the work ethic just do it. Work your butt off. Do tons of practice so that when reg testing time (as in a school tests or quiz) rolls around you can get a 90 or above. Do extra cred, it should help. And make sure that you keep your priorities in check, that was my downfall.
