<p>Hi, I have a problem. Long story short my dad gets mad when he has to pay for my ECs; band, golf, clubs etc. And literally every single time I go to an event for an EC my dad finds a way to yell at me. I want to go to an elite school, but I am only in one sport, 6ish clubs, and I quit band, because band is a scam at my school. I am too scared to join any ECs cause my dad will find a way to yell at me. For example: today my dad asked me out of the blue while he picked me up from golf practice, if I have practice on Saturday as well. I told him I wasn’t sure, and my dad became super mad. He said, “YOU ARE TOTALLY CLUELESS FOR EVERYTHING, YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW WHEN PRACTICE IS. YOU EVEN MISSED A WEEK OF PRACTICE.” I missed practice for a week cause I had competitions for my science clubs, and I was over loaded with homework. My parents said they will absolutely never let me learn to drive, or let me get a job. So how do I make money and learn to drive to be in ECs. Any help is good, thanks in advance.</p>

<p>Um, why? IMHO, a menial job builds more character than expensive activities ever will.</p>
