How to recover from a bombed test? *crying*

Guys… I’m still crying.
So I’m in pre-ib, and I’m currently taking 3 AP’s;all my other classes are pre-ib honors core classes (pre-calc, chem, eng, sp) So you’d expect me to bomb a test in pre-calc, or chem, or something hard, right?

NO. I bombed an APES quiz. And the teacher only gives 5 more tests/quizzes till the quarter ends. It was a journal quiz, and barely anything on the quiz was from our journal. I was looking at some of the answer choices and asked if they could be used twice; the teacher said no, and after she graded the test, she said THEY COULD BE USED TWICE. *****.

She barely gives any other assignments. What should I do?

I have 98 or more in all of my other classes, and I really, REALLY cannot get a B.

note: I was crying all though the labs today… I felt really bad for the boys in my group (I’m the only girl) they looked so awkward, lol.

You’re a sophomore, no one is going to care if you got a B in Q1. Lets say you get a 93 in all other quarters, then that averages to an A-.

But won’t it stick to my gpa forever? ever, ever , ever… <dramatic echo)

If you bombed a quiz than why does the title say test…? I think you may have underestimated APES, that’s what some of my friends did to AP Human and they did terrible on the first test. Really, all you can do is suck it up and study harder. Don’t cry, it is just one quiz, you’ll be fine. Also, contrary to popular belief, 1 B will not ruin your life or your transcript.

You will be fine. I got a C+ on my Math HL MIDTERM, a B+ on the final and I still ended the year with an A- (and I didn’t get an A+ in any of the other quarters). One bombed quiz/test will not affect your end of the year grade or GPA as much as you seem to think it will. Worst case scenario, you end the year with an A. The horror!

It is still an AP class, for goodness sakes. APES is actually known for being fairly rough at my school as well. Seriously, you’ll be fine. I got a B in my first AP class as well. I sucked it up and resolved to do better next semester (which I did). You’ll be fine, trust me. It’s not worth it obsessing over one quiz/test. Suck it up and move on. I know it sounds harsh, but it’s what you need to do.

FrenchieXX - At my school, kids always underestimate APES and they’re like “ha, its not AP Physics or something” so they don’t study for the test/quiz, and end up failing, and it turns out that they probably would’ve done better in Physics or Chem because they actually would’ve prepared.

Shut up

This bothered me, sorry.

You really can. Don’t feel entitled to As.
There’s probably nothing you can do about it now, so there’s no sense in worrying about it. I doubt it will turn out as bad as you think in the end anyway. Just try harder from now on.

(Also…crying? You make it sound like nothing actually bad has ever happened to you.)

Ask if you can do extra credit, and as people mentioned before just don’t get another B and your grade will average out to an A.

I agree with Smarty1201.

10/10 story if true; would laugh again.
