i’m not really sure what to say when a girl i’m interested in says something like, “i’m fat” or whatever. i don’t know what to say when she’s obviously not fat. i hate being serious haha, so usually i just go with it and joke a bit about it (they know i’m not serious, i think haha).

any better, non-serious way to reply to this? “awww, you’re not fat” just sounds so stupid/cliche

why does saying “im fat” have to mean the person is “fishing for compliments”? insecurity runs rampant among young girls, everyone should know this. why are you people so insensitive?

I, being a girl, when my friends insist on poking their stomachs and crying “I’m fat”, I usually say “My God, how does your shirt cover all of that fat!”

Yeah, I know ktcv, but all the girls I know who say that are just fishing for compliments.

People who fish for compliments are people who feel the need to be complimented…aka, insecure people. So, if a girl is insecure…you feed into her insecurities? Wow, you’re really a nice guy.

I understand some girls are selfconscious and all, but if you’re clearly not fat, then it’s just annoying to say “im fat.” It’s just fact that you’re not. Look at your body mass index or something, hello. i find this to be one of the most annoying things ever and if when girls say this it puts the people they’re talking to in a very awkward position.
