Yeah, so, I recently applied to all of my colleges yesterday…

…and today, after school, I laid in bed for three hours staring at the ceiling, well aware of the multiples quizzes I have to study for and the homework that needs to get done.

I worry things are only going to go downhill from here.

Take interesting classes, perhaps, or find ways to interest yourself in the classes you are already in.

I can’t think about how long the rest of the year is. I try to focus on one thing that’s moderately close and look forward to that. I only have to motivate myself for a few weeks at a time now. If I ever get overwhelmed by how far away May is, I remind myself that I’m as close to it as I’ve ever been and as far away from it as I’m ever going to be.

Wait But Why does a good job at explaining this problem (The rules say not to post links to blogs, so just google it).

Maybe it could give you some motivation? If not, it should at least provide you with something more entertaining than your ceiling. Unless your ceiling has those glow-in-the-dark stars on them. Then keep watching your ceiling.
