Same as usual. Run/lift/work. Try not to watch the news. I don’t expect a final decision for quite some time. However, there is a local issue that is almost as important to us as the national one. Crossing fingers it works out the way I hope.
My state is not allowed to begin counting until tomorrow, and we have had a huge number of absentee/mail in votes. I understand that they have plenty of help for counting, but it won’t be done tomorrow.
I already voted, I will spend tomorrow calling and texting voters in my state to GOTV.
Voting in person at 7:30 am, feeding horses, waiting for the movers with my parents’ stuff to arrive, and then dealing with all that. Feeding horses at the end of the day, and then sitting glued to the TV with an adult beverage in hand.
Work all day. Come home, have dinner and work some more with news coverage in background (and talking with wife). Likeyly will channel surf. Can reclaim tv, phone and mailbox tomorrow.
Election day is one of my favorite days of the year. I’ll spend the day in the office with the Sirius XM POTUS channel on(Apple AirPod in ear) until noon, then switch over to local public radio until I leave. I’ll get home, walk the dog, then settle in to CNN coverage. I’ll open a bottle of red and sit in the living room until 1 or 2 a.m. all the while monitoring social media for nutty rants by friends on both ends of the spectrum.
Golfing. Prepping for Book club on Wednesday. Will probably turn on TV following dinner to watch the coverage. Probably channel surf a bit…but have been pleasantly surprised/pleased with BBC for their fairly balanced coverage lately…
Tomorrow is D2’s birthday, so I will be posting on social media and calling her to wish her happy birthday. I won’t be seeing her, aside from sending her birthday presents I have ordered a cake to be delivered to her.
I work from home, as much as I could, I will have the news on. I will be having wine and watching the news. Fingers crossed.
I voted by mail, and my ballot has already been counted. Easy to track on-line.
Nothing special during the day, though I may click on the TV occasionally. I will watch evening election coverage. I have a friend running for Congress (not my district, but within my state), and I am definitely interested in that outcome! No expectation of knowing the final outcome of the Presidential race.
I do always eat popcorn with extra butter on election night! And, I’m sure I’ll be drinking some variety of alcohol.
Exercise, work from home, follow Twitter, watch election coverage in the evening but go to bed at 10 pm. I don’t think there will be a result tomorrow night, so I’m not tempted to stay up very late.
I made chocolate Kailua pudding shots for our adult trick or treat and some are left…
It will be 5:00 somewhere…right?
I will be turning 29 tomorrow, for the 33rd time. I really picked a lousy time to be on a diet which means no carbs or adult beverages for me. I will be glued to the TV as I can’t help myself. I truly am a glutton for punishment.
Already voted, going to work. My urban offspring have promised to call when they are done voting, DH is voting first thing, other offspring is actually covering the election for work so I will be glad when there is time for food, We are in PA and don’t expect meaningful results until the end of the week, but it will be nice to have the phone stop ringing all day long!!
I’ll be working, unfortunately helping the rising number of covid patients
Wife and I both worked 6 days during early voting and are not working any more, so Tuesday evening wife already made plans to go out to dinner with 2 like-minded friends recently back from their long trip to Sourhwestern national parks. Could be a late night watching TV. Wednesday is my regular golf day and I booked a later (10:48am) tee time just in case some of us need an extra hour of sleep.
Our state only lists if a ballot has been received. It doesn’t say whether it’s been rejected. By law, they have to inform you if it’s rejected for signature mismatch within a specific amount of time after receipt. My ballot has been received, and technically I should already have been contacted if there was an issue. Just the same,I am watching like a hawk through tomorrow to make sure it doesn’t end up rejected for a signature mismatch.
Tomorrow is our 30th anniversary. We were supposed to take a special vacation. I’m so done with 2020.
Happy upcoming 29th @CottonTales !
I hope to be able to go to bed knowing who will govern our state. ? A bottle of very good sparky and a bottle of 2 buck chuck are awaiting the national results.
Drinking.
We’re taking kiddo swimming, grabbing one of my COVID bubble friends, and then we’re setting up to drink the rest of the night.
Going to visit a renovated wildlife sanctuary with a friend and enjoy the outdoors.
I am hoping to have a media blackout for myself, but not sure how my H (WFH) will feel about that.
