I think I’m pretty spoiled, but I don’t take advantage of it and I am definitely not a brat. I get things I want if I ask for it, but I don’t waste money and if I ever buy something unneccessary, I feel very guilty about it. I don’t like spending money but my parents encourage me to more than I want to myself!

It’s really weird. My mom always tells me to go shopping and buy more clothes because I don’t have enough, and my reaction is, “NOOOO! Please, I don’t wanna waste any more money!”

So I think I could be very spoiled, but I don’t take advantage of it. I’m weird, huh?

But you’re one of the cool people, magnetique. I don’t hate people for having money. I just detest it when people waste it on flashy material things that are not very beneficial.

I can understand hatred of conspicuous consumption; I am not too much of a fan of it either; however, living in spacious quarters would be nice later in life.

My parents are more spoiled than me. We always go out to dinner and while I look for the cheapest and most filling items on the menu, they choose whatever even if its very expensive and don’t mind spending $50 on a normal dinner out.

I mean, I am somewhat spoiled. We have money but I don’t have a car, I don’t have an iPod (though I have an mp3 player that is almost as good) and I don’t have that much bling bling.

I’ve never had a job, but I’m definitely getting one in college, and I’ve been diligently applying for (or attempting to) some scholarships. And I plan to pay my parents back for the college.

Parents can’t exactly be spoiled if they are earning their own money. They just spend lavishly and without regard. And most middle-class students have no jobs, let alone upper-class students.

Speak for yourself… I’d probably be considered upper-class (my parents make like 200-300k) and I have a job working at the movie theatre for $6.50 an hour. I don’t like having everything handed to me, I like to earn it.

Goes to a fun prep school like dalton and comes to model un conferences on a private jet and then looks at me condescendingly…as if waiting for a response…

I would say being self-absorbed, egocentric, and ungrateful are some traits of a spoiled brat.

As much as I love my little cousins I do think they can be spoiled brats sometimes. For Christmas, they got like 6 gifts from my mom, on top of the gifts they recieved from me and other family members. They did not even say thank-you… One cousin even said they hated one of my mom’s gifts. So rude…

If I ever said something llike that to anyone who gave me a gift…I would be in ICU.

I think My Super Sweet Sixteen paints a good picture.
I’m only spoiled with ski vacations with my dad because he loves it…that’s pretty much as far as it goes.

people who get mad when they don’t get what they want.
ungrateful for their comfortable life in the US of A.
people who expect things from you without giving anything in return.
