Just wondering. And if you’re brave enough, would you admit that you’re one of them?

only child is one good criteria. that or youngest child.

I’m pretty self-centered, but not spoiled, I have to work for ****, but I’m proud of it! hah.

im one of those.

the only work i ever did was office work which requires a lot of analytical skills.

almost unlimited budget

only child, pretty much get what i want.

4 parents (mom, dad, step dad and step mom), more resource

I am also an only child and, like Untilted, I also get everything I want from my parents. Outside of my house, however, I have to work very hard for everything I want and get.

The majority of middle schoolers on this board.

::Raises hand::

I’d say I’m pretty spoiled, but I wouldn’t go as far to say I’m a brat- that’s taking it a little far. I’m the oldest of two and a complete Daddy’s little princess.I usually get what I want without too much trouble.

I’m spoiled, but not a brat- even though I almost always get what I want from my parents, I don’t take it for granted.

That and the fact that you live in Munich.

I get what I want but seldom ask for much, and I no longer want to ask them for anything for the next year so I can demonstrate to them that when I go off I will not be attached to them in any way. I think I ask for too much when I ask for anything non-academic.

I’m spoiled, but I’m no brat.

I know many here in California. Land of the idiots.

“The majority of middle schoolers on this board.”

<ghettogangsta> Oh, I KNOW you ain’t talkin bout me. </ghettogangsta>

youngest child by a decade…pretty spoiled but I don’t necessarily relish it…

I used to be a spoiled brat, getting whatever I wanted - and i’m an only child. However, I got a job and it all changed. NOTHING is bought by my parents anymore except for neccessities. I’m paying for college, and all my ‘extras’ - including my car payment, insurance, gas, clothing, and more…and guess what? I’m learning a lot about money now as opposed to being 20k in debt before I graduate college.

Drive BMW/MERCEDES/LEXUS/ETC… that belongs to their parents or was purchased by them (parents).
Spends money on frivilous stuff, just because they can.
superficial
artificial
Will only wear an outfit once (seriously I know people like this)
HAS to get their way
self-centered

Unfortunately, the term ‘spoiled brat’ applies to everyone in my town/school.

*Goes shopping with their parents’ money and squanders all of it away on frivolous crap.
*Brags about getting a new car after she has crashed TWO of her mother’s (No lie).
*Talks about her wonderful trip to Australia and how boarding school’s going to be such a blast (I’m not trying to stereotype. It’s just that the boarding school thing is used to condescend on others)

“(I’m not trying to stereotype. It’s just that the boarding school thing is used to condescend on others)”

How was it used to condescend others?

I agree with Righteous on that!!!

Oh yea!? Well, every year my school has a senior food auction. This year there was some intense bidding on a pizza. The winner paid $300 on the pizza. That’s right! THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS on a pizza! unbelievable.

Travel does not necessarily make someone a brat-if someone has the time and some money (~$2000 for four weeks in some places) one can travel far and wide.
But point #2 is disgusting: there should be a law that if someone under 18 is the causer of the crash more than three times their license should be revoked for 10 years.

Okay. Boarding schools are better than public schools, right? Well, let’s just say that a particular person does not make spectacular grades and feels inferior to us hardworking commonfolk. So the subject of boarding school is constantly brought up and shoved in our faces so we get the point that she’s receiving a better education and is off to a much better college, making us seem worthless in comparision to her. You see?
