Is this textbook usable to self-study from for the AP Exam, or will I miss out on a bunch of stuff? I’ve found that the AP Chemistry teacher in my school (who was my Honors Chemistry teacher last year) is using Chemistry by Raymond Chang for the AP Chemistry course. And of course, for the labs I can just skim through them on prep books of course…

No, Modern Chemistry is not AP/College level. The textbook is aimed only for high school students. Chemistry by Raymond Chang is an AP/college level book. You can use that.
