Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more messed up for the Republicans, here is a profile (some taken from MySpace) of Bristol Palin’s Baby Daddy.

On a more serious note, if I were Bristol Palin’s parent, I would never have let her situation come within a million miles of being covered by press…

I feel so bad for that daughter. As a 17 year old girl myself, I cannot imagine what it would be like to have all of your secrets out in public during an unimaginably stressful time for her and her family. Her mother must’ve known before becoming the VP candidate what situation her daughter was in, and to ignore that (and know that it was going to come out) is horrible. I don’t know how many of us young girls would ever be able to forgive our mothers for that. That woman disgusts me now for making her daughter go through that. And no, I am not saying it is the mother’s fault that she is pregnant (I’m not saying it’s not either), but to put your daughter through that publicly is just horrible. It’s simply not right.

I think it’s obvious that Palin’s family needs her more than Washington does. But I laughed when I heard all this, plus “Alaska’s most famous hockey mom” on TV.

The other thing I wonder about…Levi, Bristol’s boyfriend who impregnated her, said on his MySpace page that he doesn’t want kids. Also, they aren’t married yet, though one would assume that he has long known Bristol’s condition. I wonder if he’s being “shotgunned” into marrying her.

Probably. One of my friends just got married in a quickie wedding because her parents didn’t want to live with the shame of an unwed daughter with a baby. I thought our society had moved passed getting married simply so you won’t be a teenage parent. Guess I was wrong :(.

it was her right as this one is for Bristol Palin. hoping she is being given the privacy and guidance a 17 yr old young woman would need to manage this major life situation.

Sarah Palin is a pretty selfish woman IMO. She knew her daughter was pregnant and she knew that if she became McCain’s running mate her daughter’s pregnancy would become public, but she did it anyway. She put her career before the well-being of her daughter whose personal issues are now known by the entire country.

Why compound one problem with a second problem? Its all for the cameras/image. I hope he doesnt abuse the poor girl during their marriage like what happened to Palins sister. The women of this family dont appear to have very good judgement. God Bless and good luck Palin family.

Wow, AMom2, are you casting moral aspersions at Obama’s Mom for getting pregant when she was 17? Aren’t you being really hypocritical? Haven’t you been going on and on on another post about how people are making fun of Palin for being a mother when 99.9% of the time it has nothing to do with being a mother.

No one that I can see is criticizing Bristol for getting pregnant out of wedlock as a teen. My particular criticism which is backed up here is that I find it horrible that Sarah Palin would expose her daughter to such scrutiny.

I am also making fun of Bristol’s mate for his words on MySpace, that is true.

This isn’t a funny situation for the family, but if you don’t want us to talk about any of it at all, about the last thing you should do is come on a board and make some point “Obama’s mother did it too.” That really shows you up as a hypocrite in the worst sort of way.
