Other people told me it comes off as “trying too hard”.
I did it for the heck of it and got in. My friends didn’t do it, and they all got in too.
Overall, it does not matter at all. :P</p>

<p>A lot of people generally use the same sort of “cool tricks” on this essay (either putting a page number down below or starting/stopping the essay midsentence). Just have fun with it. One detail by itself doesn’t matter much, but many details in conjunction can make for a more entertaining piece of writing, so if you want to include a page number, go for it. :P</p>
<p>If I recall correctly, I started and ended my essay with incompleted funny sentences that ended/began new stories completely separate from my main one such that it leaves a lot for the imagination (e.g. Just making a few up now: “…and that’s why I never eat sushi with chopsticks anymore.” / “…and as I wiped the ketchup off my face, I knew she’d never call again.” – etc etc). I figured that many other people would be doing the “sentence cutoff” thing too, so you might as well twist it a bit and have fun making it even more creative.</p>
<p>I didn’t do a sentence cut off, but it started as Chapter 14. I did something similar to putting page 217 at the bottom, I’ll tell you guys after the app deadline.
