I can’t believe I just…

Spent $200 per ticket to go to a college football game, and it won’t even be a great game!

You can post fun stuff, “bad” stuff, good stuff, whatever.

Can’t believe I forgot to mail my younger son‘s birthday card! I found it when I went looking for my other son‘s birthday card ( that one has the age number on it ) and unfortunately, they were both together!

Told my husband this morning potential trip/flight dates for upcoming trip with various family visits (some still tbd)… without realizing the outbound date was bookclub. (And it is my book, “The Correspondent” - that means this time I am Leader as well as the normal zoom coordinator). LOL, he was quite diligent mapping out various choices on time and airport while I was out at a meeting. Luckily I said DON’T BUY YET as heading out the door.

I just spent almost 2 hours updating Southwest Airlines website so I could get tickets for late next January. Then I finally read they changed the next release date to June 4 - ugh!

I just bought ten bottles of Josh Reserve bourbon barrel aged Zinfandel at QFC for $7.19 a bottle (full price is $21.99). Apparently they were sent too many boxes of them. The wine steward appreciated me taking them, since she was trying to get rid of them, but I suspect the cashier thought I was a real boozer.

That I just hit the 5,000 mile mark on my bike!

That’s over an 18 month period of time with a few months of no riding - and doesn’t count the nearly 300 I rode in the Netherlands on a rented bike!

I’m celebrating this victory! :tada::partying_face::person_biking:

follow up: I sent a screenshot of DS’s birthday card and apologized for forgetting to mail it! His response was that he probably has his wife’s mother’s day card on the back seat of his car somewhere.

(this happened last weekend…)

I walked away from the brats for a minute… which ended up being more like 7-8 minutes… and (facepalm) one side became rather charred. ugh.

Using the dull side of a knife… scrape away…

OK, at first I thought maybe you were talking about your “kids” (the “brats”)

Should I go back to clarify or just leave it? lol

Nah - it just gave me a little laugh. It’s obvious from the rest of the story

Saw a coyote run quickly down the main street!

There were a three of us who were shocked as we walked toward the busy T-intersection in our neighborhood, and a coyote ran right through us, up into the hills!

My neighbor, who claims that I exaggerate, as she never hears nor sees coyotes in the neighborhood, got an eyeful. Now she believes that what I’ve been telling her: about coyotes roaming daily behind our property, is true. She needs to move to Missouri- the “show me” state.

… told my son “no, we CAN’T adopt a racoon”.

I’m reasonably confident he’s joking and just trying to see how far he can take it, but I keep hearing him say “but look at their adorable little hands!!!”

No. No adopting a racoon. Stop teasing me child.

Set up: I haven’t had an Oreo in over a year. I don’t love Oreos, but was in the store and suddenly had to have them. I had also skipped breakfast so was starving (never shop hungry). I put the groceries in my trunk and realized I was ravenous. Took the Oreos into the car with me to have a couple on the ride home to hold me over.

On the way home from shopping I realized I had a Wegovy prescription to pick up at the pharmacy, so decided to hit the drive-thru perscription pick up. I have no idea what I was thinking, but just as I pulled up, I shoved an Oreo in my mouth. Of course, it was the one time I didn’t have to wait for someone to come to the window, and just as I was shoving it in whole, the pharmacist asked me what I wanted. I seriously considered just hitting the gas and driving away. She had to wait for me to shallow so I could ask for my Wegovy. I was like the biggest fat girl moment ever. And I SWEAR I haven’t had an Oreo in a year.

Sorry, I don’t know whether to laugh (with you) or to cry (for you) - but I could see the entire thing in my head and honestly it would make a laugh-out-loud scene in a movie!

Drank an entire shake shack key lime pie shake.

(It’s worth the - presumably very many - calories).

People just need to read the post with a Wisconsin accent - not brr AT but br aught.
Cover the charred side with sauerkraut and mustard. Or maybe grilled onions.

I can’t believe I just spent 3 hours trying to get bike riding navigation from one app to another (ride with gps to garmin). It’s done, but what a PIA.

Scene 2– I have a neighbor who is clearly genetically predisposed to a long, lean, never gain an ounce body type. Her pregnancies were the “I swallowed a basketball” ilk- never got puffy hands, couldn’t put on shoes, etc. and the weight came off in a matter of days. She is militantly “you just need willpower and more exercise” when someone is clearly struggling with weight or goes on Wegovy and doesn’t try to hide it, etc. And has lots of helpful eating tips like “if you fill up on celery sticks while you’re making dinner, you won’t want to eat as much”. Sure, thanks.

She rings the doorbell for something or other, just as I have unloaded a Costco run as a favor for a friend going through “stuff”. So the huge cartons of chips, cheetos, cookies, etc. are by the front door (snacks for her kids lunchboxes for months– someone else is in charge of perishables). I can actually feel the sneer coming through the screen door as she spies about a billion empty calories sitting in my hallway….Do I yell “these aren’t for me”, do I deny having purchased them, or do I just smile and say “did you need something?”

And cut.

Lizard– love the image of the Oreo crumbs trailing down your chin!!!
