Is it so you can have the thrill of being a shouting drunk spectator? If there’s no dancing, it’s not a celebration.

neither my roommate nor i have ever been

It’s about being around a ton of your friends all day, in the sunshine, dressed well, and enjoying the day. It’s not just about the drinking either.

I guess I can’t see how you can enjoy the day … glued to your seat.

I don’t think I’ve sat more than 15min at any Foxfields haha. And when I was, it was because my legs refused to work to keep me upright anymore.

I love Foxfields!

Is it really worth the 50-60-70 dollars? It just seems like such a blatant scam, and that’s without any of the other monetary activities associated with horse racing.

Yes! Just give it a try.

People flaunt their money and drink. I’ve been but I’ve never seen a single horse…may I be I wasn’t paying enough attention. Bring the alcohol in coolers, f.y.i.

haha i don’t get it either. never been… but apparently its tradition?

I didn’t go during my time at UVA but it’s pretty much a frat/sorority scene. People wear polos and sundresses to celebrate this southern horserace event.

If you see a horse, that means you lost Foxfield.
