<p>I applied to a summer mentorship program at Penn… and out of the 70 that applied, 24 got an interview. I got through that part and got an interview. My interview was GREAT… and only 10 out of 24 got in. I didn’t get in… I was really shocked because … some people who are terrible speakers with no people skills passed the interview and got through. ugh…</p>
<p>dude, when one door closes…you know the saying. Thats life, not everyting u try is gonna workout. Forget about it and do something else, because thats all you can do. Also, sure some terrible speakers got in, but come on, maybe they had something else special about them. dont hate</p>
<p>how do you know that these people are terrible speakers. Maybe you are a bad speaker but because of your high ego you really believe that your speaking skills are good.</p>
<p>I’m going through something similar. But often times, you learn much more from failure than success (let me know if you figure out how before me).</p>
