On my 1st math quiz I got a 20/29. I’m a freshman and I’d really like to get a 4.0 GPA by junior year…

20/29 isn’t an F… but even if you DID get an F on a your first quiz in one course, you have other quizzes to make up for it. You could still get an A or a B in the class. You’ll be fine.

What do you think?

it actually is…at my school anything below 70 is an F

Then you attend a crazy school, but still, you can bring it up with other quizzes, don’t worry.

<a href=“Mount Olive Schools Ban the D: It’s C or Flunk - The New York Times”>Mount Olive Schools Ban the D: It’s C or Flunk - The New York Times;

4.0 by junior year? Are you in any honor classes with a weighted GPA?

Either way, it was the first quiz, that means there is still plenty of time to get that grade up.

One quiz isn’t going to have a major affect on your GPA. Relax.

Don’t worry. But I feel sorry for you that your school doesn’t use the traditional 10 point. That just sucks *******.

Tell your teacher you were nervous about the test or having a bad day and ask them to let you take the quiz over again. I like having alot of qizes. In college they only have sometimes one test the whole semester, so then you have to get a good grade and you have to know everything from the whole semester. Sometimes they even have open book tests with notes and anything you want to take.

Unless your enitre grade is based on one quiz, you still have a chance.

Insert generic “No, you have no chance. Have a terrible time at community college. You’re going to die young, alone, and stupid, with nothing for anyone to remember you by…” response here.

hahaha this person is ridiculous…

Nope, you’re screwed. One test will determine your final GPA which will determine where you go to college which will ultimately determine your entire life. Just give up now.

Uhg… One score? Are you serious?

To the OP:

Don’t worry. I had a friend with a below 4.0 GPA. He had great luck getting into his local CC.

sorry kid… too late… ur ivy chances are blown. or rather college for that matter… ARE YOU SERIOUS, if you don’t have the common sense to know that there are more quizzes/grades in the future, you clearly don’t deserve to get a 4.0 GPA or get into a good school.

rather i think we should ignore and stop feedin the ■■■■■

^Lol I was waiting for someone to say that.

Dude, you’re screwed. This F is a sign of things to come. Just start preparing yourself for the reality that you will be getting a GED and going to ITT Tech or Devry for college.
