<p>I made this thread because I was shocked that I was accepted by these schools, because I see all these amazing people on CC getting rejected. I also made this thread to show people that you dont have to be amazing to get into top schools. Can anyone tell me why I got in lol (im not complaining)</p>

<p>Your credentials are good enough to get you into most schools. Ivies want to see people who are socially conscious while being great students. Apparently that seems to be your strong suit.</p>

<p>Congrats on the acceptances, but it’s not like you have subpar stats. I would consider a 4.0, 34 ACT, and perfect SATIIs prettyyyy qualified…</p>
<p>Yeah im in those classes right now. I made this list a year ago and I forgot to change some stuff my bad. The weird thing is my friend had a 36act and perfect sat IIs but he got rejected from stanford, harvard, yale, princeton, etc. He only got into uchicago. this is why i am so surprised. do u guys know what made me stand out? he was also 3rd in the class.</p>
<p>I wrote my essay on my fundraising for my church. I geuess thats good. Also not going to harvard doesn’t make you stupid… In fact going to harvard can make you stupid because it’s unnecessary stress.</p>
<p>For some reason, I am sensing another ■■■■■ thread, but perhaps I am wrong? It seems very puzzling that you list 3 APs where you received all 5s yet they don’t start for another month or so and according to that thread, you haven’t taken any yet. </p>

I am somehow dubious about his/her explanation for the AP class error:</p>

<p>Who makes a list of academic qualifications their junior year, goes back a year later to find such a brief, useless, and incomplete list, and then copies and pastes the list, overlooking outdated critical information?</p>

<p>^ Oh I see. If he made that list a year ago. Why would he be worrying about the U.S. History AP exam this year if he already took it last year? I assume that his other thread is for the AP exam for U.S. History.</p>
<p>By the way, I highly recommend the book as I did the same and read it all twice within 3 weeks of the AP exam. It definitely helped me and resulted in a 4. Keep in mind that my teacher did hardly any teaching as that was his last year before retirement so he really didn’t give a crap and was more concerned with having fun.</p>
<p>**It’s really quite easy to tell what threads are ■■■■■ threads as they usually consist of people with incredible stats but acting dumb and pretending that they have either 1) no idea if they could get into any schools 2) acting like they have absolutely no idea how they got into certain schools 3) no clue as to if they have good stats or not 4) what they could do to improve (even though they have like 4.5 GPA, 2350 SAT score, 750+ SAT 2s, winner of national competition, etc. etc.) </p>
<p>Essentially, beware of people who seem to have such incredible statistics that demonstrate that he/she is a really smart person but ACT DUMB on CC. It makes you wonder why they seem so ignorant on CC but not in real life.**</p>
