I have a six page one that’s due tomorrow and I’m already halfway through my outline and I only have one and a half pages. What the hell T_T

Really? They’re my favorite. haha

Well, it’s more the length requirement. If I say everything I need to say in four pages, why do I have to write another two? Argh. And this is a very difficult poem to analyze as well >_<

Abandon the outline and pay attention to how the structure of your analysis is evolving. Follow that.

You wouldn’t be complaining if you started a few days earlier.

If it’s a page requirement and not a word count, you can play with the margins a little. At the most make them 1.3 inches since the standard is around 1.25. Otherwise, it becomes too noticeable.

Haha I used to be the same way, but now strangely I like them O_o
Probably because I’m in IB and that’s all we do in English (plus they’re the only reason my grades stay up :p)

I’ll try that
Don’t act like you’ve never procrastinated before…
MLA format, 1 inch margins all around required. :/

Put all the periods in 14 point font and use arial instead of times new roman.

Outlines are fairly useless. Just get into the analysis and see how it goes.

^ Again, MLA format so Times New Roman only.

Maybe I should go work instead of browsing CC…

Yeah, literary analysis papers have been my achilles heel all throughout high school. I hate writing them, but I love reading books. When someone asks me why I like a book, I’ll be like “I really liked how the characters interacted…” not “I liked how the green light at the end of Daisy’s dock symbolizes the implausibility of the American dream” or something academic like that.

^I was talking about the Green Light this weekend! What a beautiful symbol.

^^Sorry, at my school, we can do MLA format in arial. I always go over word/page limits though, so I’ve never cared or kept up with changes. But 14 point font periods are unnoticeable and really make papers longer.

i hate em too >_<

Lol, my teacher makes us write with .7" margins, double sided, to save paper. Makes writing explications kind of annoying if you say all you want to say without reaching the expected length.

Oh? I adore lit an papers. If you weave around some pretentious, flowery language contorting around itself in confusing twists into your paper it should be fine lol. My English teachers get all puzzled and don’t like to admit it, so they automatically assume I’m being deep haha. Try that, maybe?

Just starting page 4. ■■■ hahaha

I know how it is, man. I have at least 2 more hours of APWH homework and I still haven’t studied for my Physics test. I’ve done nothing constructive since 12, and before that, I only worked for less than an hour. I are fail.
