so me and my friend are worrying ourselves right before a test in IB History HL…this stupid jock is in that class, and he asks my friend what is the date of the bombing of pear harbor…so my friends answers the questions like “duh december 7 1941”…not like that but im you get the point…the kids start cussing at him and start getting mad at him, and in the end he makes the wise comment “stupid nerds”
and that ****ed me off…wow like you dont even need to be smart to know that…its a historically even and everyone should know that…
dont you guys get mad when stupid kids look at nerds really low?

actually it sounds like you and your friend are kind of stuck up and rude yourselves. you labeled him as a jock and yet ur all furious about him calling u a nerd. and ur friend did not have to be rude and a know-it-all she could have just answered the question. i dont know if you are looking for sympathy but you’re not definitely not getting any.

yea we just did a group project, and he never did one work for the group…how does that makes you feel, when you have to be stucked with doing all the work in a group project

I didn’t know that until like a few days ago when I visited Pearl Harbor. Or I did know but I forgot it.

the test was on pearl harbor…and we spend three weeks on it

i learned it like 3 weeks ago for a test on WHen the Emperor was Divine in English.

Damn nerds.

I feel you, BestMiler1. It’s stupid kids like that that make high school so unenjoyable at times. It’s fine if you don’t know anything about Pearl Harbor (although after spending three weeks on it, you would think you’d know something about it), but snapping at somebody for no apparent reason, now that is low.

stereotypes are rampant through all walks of society… do your best to deal with them and feel comfortable in your own network of people

first you call him stupid, then you condesend him by saying “duh.”

you’re a real ■■■■■■■■■. you think he cares that you know? he cares that you’re an arrogant prick who thinks you’re better than him because you know when a certian event happened.

Where the hell is Pearl Harbor? I have heard of it in my global class last year when we were talking about the bombing of it and world war 2.

Hawaii
(10 characters)

Oh…:)

Yes…:)

Uh… I was about to say that I didn’t know that date… but I do, but that’s not the point. How would you feel if I asked you to list dates on major discoveries in quantum physics? What if I asked you to name the major downer paper in artificial neural network theory? Would you know these off the bat? I doubt.

It’s not the dates and facts that are important, rather the reasons why things happened. Seems like you were the idiot in this situation.

oh I got it, didn’t you just write a major downer paper in artificial neural networks called The Sentient Machine.

woot i feel like a total nerd. Go Sagar for being a beast at AI.

heh you guys are so mean. the poor guy was just looking for some support

no i wasnt looking for support…i want to see your views on this…i mean for god’s sakes…lets say we are learning about the bush and kerry election and on the day of the test, if someone says “who is the candidate for the republican side”…like serioulsy it was like…and btw my friend never said “duh” to him, the way he said it seemed like that…and plus this is a kid that no one likes because he say serious attitude problem…i just wanna where did this view of nerds come from?

Well, it wasn’t very nice to call people “stupid nerds.” I love nerds. Heck, I’m one myself but that boy didn’t sound very mean. He was only asking and you can’t expect him to know the exact dates.

I agree, but he shouldn’t have started cursing and screaming all over the place. Why didn’t he try a civilized discussion instead?
