I hate rude comments about nerds, Makes me so mad

“yea we just did a group project, and he never did one work for the group…how does that makes you feel, when you have to be stucked with doing all the work in a group project”

You criticize him for his “lack of knowledge” yet you have atrocious grammar. Get over yourself, please.

Stupid nerds…

jkjk

Pandora, that merits a picture. Or is that the Trouble in a Box?
elweezer, this thread was resurrected from some time ago.
War Chant, most of this forum is composed of nerds.

I realized that on the first day.

kman1456

respect in school? hm… i’m not sure since i live in an ap bubble hah which isn’t representative of the general population. so probably not.
well, when you’re in ap calc bc with a bunch of other smart people, it’s not an insult to be considered or consider yourself a nerd.

or i just don’t mind admiting that i am a nerd.

In my school, taking AP classes does not mean you’ll get respect.

AP bubble…no, just about anyone who is smart, rich, or has image problems take the classes. Few are nerds here; actually, the ones that are frighten many because we grade on a curved system.

I hate condescending *****es… and thats what it seems like your friend sounded like. Some people arent good at dates… guess what? the date that pearl harbor happened isnt nearly as important as the relevance and impact of the event… just cause he was checking on it to make sure he didn’t mess up a detail like that on the test is no reason to talk to him like he is a dumbass (even if he is).

Don’t worry about what other people say about you… and if you don’t want people to generalize/ be rude to you then you shouldn’t either (though it was your friend and not you in this case)

Sings “Why can’t we be friends, why can’t we be friends…”

seriously,“nerds” grow up to be rich and sucessful peopl, i mean like they are working hard(on their studies) so that they can have a better life in the future!

i know, like seriously…they grow up to be sucessfl people!

yeah…rich, successful people.

okay then, what do average people become…middle management? (I love the concept of Middle Management!)

kman: rich people with image problems?
hm… i guess your school is different than mine then.
we don’t grade on a curve.

yeah and rude stuck up people like the Op’s friend grow up to be rude stuck up adults. its all fascinating.

Hmm… being a nerd certainly does not give you respect at my school. Having the hardest coarse load makes people think you have no life, or you think you are better than them. And most people just take honors classes just so they can get points to raise their rank. So having all honors classes does not make you special, and yes, everyone expects a nerd to know every little detail about every little thing.

what is the name of Dr. Mengele’s second mistress

No, I hate everyone in my school except for about 10 people. Those 10 people are never bullied and I’m never bullied, therefore I have no problems with bullying.

im going to go out on a limb and say that those ten people that are never bullied have almost no contact with the outside world and attend no school functions and thus have no opprotunity to be bullied. Also not all nerds become rich, I would wager that most wind up stuck in a lab somewhere.

I was actually exaggerating, but most of my friends go to school functions and I met a lot of them through hockey.

I agree with nazhockey26 that not all nerds become rich. It’s not right for nerds or jocks to look down on each other. Some nerds make me feel stupid when I don’t understand something, but others are nice and try to explain it me. Of course, I would rather befriend the nice ones. In 10th grade, I had both honors and regular classes. I realized in one of my honors classes, I heard a lot of the “omg, how do you not understand this.” In one of my regular classes, I heard more of people helping each other out since jocks are less competitive academically. Nerds and jocks value different things, so neither has it better than the other.

Plus, my AP English teacher used to be a cheerleader in high school, but she’s intelligent. Her dad was a surgeon, and she had helped him over the summers and majored in a science field before she discovered she loved English. Nerds shoot for the big jobs like doctors or lawyers, but teachers, who don’t get paid lot, help them get there.
