I need a reality check

<p>I summarize my question :
a. I performed very badly in my 11th / 12th and it got reflected in my board/entrance exams.
b. I entered a C-Grade college <muj> in Btech CSE after dropping a year
c. The college is new , but it well financed and supported by its root university.
d. The teachers are good but lazy leaving out many topics and leaving the students under-burdened.Also I feel like I have no idea as to where I stand on the large platform.
e. I m performing very well at the college scoring a near 9.5 CGPA <3rd sem over>
f. I try to make up the left out topics , but due to the fact that its not required , I also tend to take the topics lightly often leaving them unfinished if I can’t understand them in 1 go.
g. I m not very social <better to=“” call=“” me=“” a=“” loner=“”>.
h. I am good at programming what has been taught <often i=“” fix=“” my=“” peers=“” programs=“” as=“” well=“”></often></better></muj></p>

<p>So , I want to know that say I continue doing well in my college , will my resume be glorious enough to get me into a good foreign university? I ask as GRE has no exam pertaining to my programming skills <i am=“” only=“” good=“” at=“” computers=“” and=“” nothing=“” else=“”>. My hardware knowledge is sub-power
I was originally targeting GATE, but MS being a 1yr course seemed more promising as it would help me make up for my dropped year .
If I am not going to get into a good foreign university anyways , I’d much rather focus only on GATE .</i></p><i am=“” only=“” good=“” at=“” computers=“” and=“” nothing=“” else=“”>

<p>As such I cant seem to discuss this properly with my teachers since I tend to get the reply “You will get a good placement” when I ask them about my performance. I cant ask about GATE coz the syllabus is 2 years from being over.
My peers tend to reply to me that “If you dont get anywhere , we are all doomed” and such replies.
I wanna know where such students tend to end up .</p>
